How many questions will be on the exam?
The total number of questions for each program is dependent on the Body of Knowledge for that program (http://asq.org/cert).
Exams delivered via CBT include Pre-test questions as defined below:
Pre-test Questions
ASQ certification exams delivered via CBT consist of 85 - 175 multiple-choice questions. Of the total questions presented to candidates, 10-15% are considered pretest questions. Pretest questions do not affect the score but are used in examinations as an effective and legitimate way to test the validity of future examination questions. All questions are randomly placed throughout the examination. These questions will be presented in addition to the number of questions defined in each unique program's Body of Knowledge. The pre-test questions will cover all areas of the Body of Knowledge for each program. The time given to candidates for each exam program has been established using the total number of exam questions.
