ASQ Software Division Region 10 Report for 3Q2007
by Louise Tamre
Professional society gatherings and other opportunities to meet with colleagues will resume in the fall. Most organizations (at least the ones I’m in contact with) slow down during the summer.
Planning for the Great Lakes Software Excellence Conference is under way. Mark your calendars for November 7-8, 2007. The conference is organized by XP West Michigan and will be held in Grand Rapids. Information is available at www.glsec.org.
The Ann Arbor Software Quality Professionals (AASQP) is rotating its meetings to better accommodate members’ schedules. Voting to select the best meeting date takes place mid-month. Join the yahoo group tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/aa-sqp to be part of the conversation.
I am surveying a sample of software quality professionals in the greater-Detroit area to gauge whether enough interest exists to provide CSQE training. In addition, some local software quality professionals have volunteered to offer a set of courses in southeastern Michigan, tentatively aimed for early 2008. More information will be forthcoming. If either of these training opportunities interest you (whether as an attendee or as an instructor), do let me know at l.tamres@computer.org
