Position Summary
If you’ve got the right stuff, you’ll join a creative and dynamic team working with one of Blackbaud’s signature solutions. These versatile commercial applications are constantly evolving to help our nonprofit clients make the best decisions with their funds and other resources. Our program architecture is built on a rich object model exposed to VBA and any other COM client via a documented API tuned for flexibility and ease of use. We take advantage of this architecture in our automated testing by writing custom applications and scripts that access our rich object model using .Net 2.0 framework, advanced VB, and SQL Server 2005.
As a Software Developer/Engineer you will:
- Work effectively and accurately to complete assigned coding tasks
- Meet deadlines and objectives assigned by Team Leads and management
- Enhance your skills and understanding of Blackbaud products, VB.Net, VB6, SQL, Crystal and third-party controls
- Take initiative in improving Blackbaud’s coding standards
Blackbaud will consider only candidates who have:
- A Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Exposure to Object Oriented Languages
- Working knowledge of windows operating system
- Experience making positive contributions in a team environment
- A diligent work ethic and the discipline to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Experience
Blackbaud will give priority consideration to candidates who have a Master’s degree. Any experience working with or for nonprofit organizations also is a big plus.
