Job Description: Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer
1. Help in establishing software test standards and methods and conducts software tests. Reviews and evaluates software products and services for adherence to government directives, standards and guidelines concerning software quality assurance.
2. Specifies functional and non-functional software requirements.
Assists in establishing quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring software quality.
3. Responsible for the implementation of a software quality assurance program in support of software products and services. Participates in establishing software quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance.
4. Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Reviews software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
5. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.
6. Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract.
7. Candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be highly motivated and self directed. Must possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to obtain a security clearance required. Must have experience in high-order language embedded development or SQE support of same. Familiarity with high level language, SEI CMMI Level 5, and ISO 9001 strongly desired.
8. An undergraduate degree in CS, CE, EE or science field or equivalent with demonstrated high academic and/or job performance and a minimum of
4 years (normally 5-8 years) of specifically related experience or graduate degree in CS, CE, EE or science field or equivalent with demonstrated high academic and/or job performance and a minimum of 2 years (normally 3-6 years) of specifically related experience.
