ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9000-2 gives guidance to enable its users to have improved consistency, precision, clarity, and understanding when applying the requirements of the quality systems standards Q9011, Q9002, and Q9003. ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9000-2 is phrased in terms of guidance to the supplier in order to reflect the requirements of Q9001, Q9002, or Q9003. However, ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9000-2 does not add to, or otherwise change, the requirements of Q9001, Q9002, and Q9003. In a case of conflicting interpretation of Q9001, Q9002, or Q9003 on the one hand, and ISO 9000-2 on the other, the interpretation of the text in Q9001, Q9002, or Q9003 takes precedence.
