About the Author(s):
Taz Daughtrey is a member of the computer science faculty at James Madison University, where he has also served as Associate Director for Software Development in the Institute for Infrastructure and Information Assurance. He is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Software Quality Professional and edited the first volume of Fundamental Concepts for the Software Quality Engineer. Taz earned a BS in physics and an M. Ed in science education, both from the University of Virginia. He is an ASQ Fellow and is Executive Director of the World Congress for Software Quality.
Sue Carroll is Principle Software Quality Analyst at SAS in the Software Quality Division, where she has been a conduit between customers and SAS R&D on issues of software quality, making internal quality processes visible to customers, and bringing external feedback into R&D. She holds a BS in nursing from North Carolina Central University and a post BS in Computer Science. She is an ASQ Fellow, past chair of the ASQ Software Division, and the Editor-in-Chief of Software Quality Professional.
