Quality Management and Juran's Legacy

Quality Engineering vol. 20 issue 4 - October 2008

Abstract:[This abstract is based on the author’s abstract.] Dr. Joseph M. Duran’s important contributions to modern quality management principles, concepts, and models are discussed. Through his extensive writings, Juran has provided quality engineers and statisticians with a framework and terminology for the application of statistical quality control in an industrial environment. Many of these principles were later incorporated under the Six Sigma umbrella. Juran’s framework is outlined and discussed.
