Abstract: Two noted researchers in the field of statistical techniques for quality and productivity improvement contribute to the article, Opportunities and Issues in Multiple Data Type Meta-Analyses by Christine M. Anderson-Cook. Alberto Ferrer of the Universidad Politècnica de Valencia, Spain agrees with the author’s key points and further notes the importance of data validation. William Q. Meeker of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa makes a strong case for the use of Bayesian methods to handle statistical problems associated with multiple data type meta-analyses. In a rejoinder, the author thanks the discussants for their insights and the addition of important issues related to meta-analyses.
