Abstract: An interview with distinguish statistician John Stuart Hunter highlights his educational background and career milestones. As a member of the faculty in the Princeton School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Hunter instructed numerous courses on applied statistics for ASQ and produced two TV series for Westinghouse Learning. After retirement he became an active consultant, coauthored two books, and published nearly 100 papers. Hunter is the founding editor of Technometrics and has received numerous awards and honorary degrees.
