The importance of ISO 9001 certification to companies worldwide is reflected in an ISO survey released in December 2006. The results of a research project conducted in Portugal attempt to answer questions regarding ISO 9001 implementation in Portuguese regions and several ultra-peripheral regions in Europe where similar challenges and difficulties arise.
