Abstract: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] A hybrid technique that combines selection and prioritization is presented for reducing software test suite size without compromising the effectiveness of regression testing. Source code changes and coverage information are considered with respect to each test case. The method captures the effect of changes in terms of variable computations. Statement coverage, branch coverage, fault coverage, and modified code coverage are computed.
