Abstract: Workplace safety today encompasses more than just personal safety. It also applies to the effects of actions on the environment and the health and safety of anyone touched by the process. These critical to humans (CTH) precepts are basic to the practice of quality and should be considered part of the critical to quality tree. Awareness of CTHs can help Six Sigma teams address the needs of the organization and understand the process life cycle.
