Abstract: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]
An overview is given of the literature on Phase I parametric control charts for univariate variables data. When designing the charts, the joint distribution of the charting statistics is used to control the false alarm probability. An example is given and suggestions are made concerning future research problems.
