Abstract: [This abstract is based on the author’s abstract.]
While quality function design (QFD) is an effective method for analyzing the relationship between designs and related qualities, there are many specification notations that are poorly defined and subjective. As a result, the analysis of such a design fails to provide a useful understanding of the power of designs to satisfy a set of requirements. More useful technology description options are suggested that may lead to an upgrade of QFD and similar practices.
