Abstract: In an earlier article, the author described the breakdown of integrity and regrettable decisions made by some of the Nixon Whitehouse staff that resulted in Watergate and the resignation of the president. In that article he introduced a model for decision making called The Integrity Zone that offers guidance in making right and good decisions. This article develops the model and poses three questions, which if answered affirmatively, help guide decisions and keep decision makers on the right track. Corporations often operate in a day-to-day accountability vacuum, overlooking the impact their actions have outside the organization that have led to many of the negative environmental and social problems seen today. The most direct route to solving these problems is to encourage corporations to incorporate the integrity-based decision-making ideals outlined in The Integrity Zone.
