Abstract: The 22 teams that took part in the 2007 International Team Excellence Award competition demonstrated the importance of teamwork in process improvement. A record five teams won awards, and for the first time in the competition’s history, three silver medals were awarded. The Boeing Company’s C-17 Program, Long Beach, CA, won the Gold Award as well as two Silver Awards. A third Silver Award went to Florida’s Department of Children and Families, SunCoast Region, Largo, FL. CSX Corporation, Jacksonville, FL, took the Bronze Medal.
