Abstract: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) criteria are recognized throughout the world as a guide to the improvement of the quality of manufactured goods and services. An empirical study of more than 500 firms in India, Mexico, and the United States sampled quality manager perceptions on quality management practices based on MBNQA criteria. Results of the study reveal similarities and differences in perceptions of the value of nine quality criteria constructs.
