Abstract: Veridian Homes in Madison, Wisconsin uses several quality methods to improve productivity while reducing impact on the environment. To achieve its goal of promoting and coordinating quality throughout the company, the company employed the National Housing Quality Award program, the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award self assessment system, and the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology. By successfully integrating these tools, Veridian earned the 2006 National Housing Quality Gold Award. A sidebar article reveals Veridian's vision, mission, and values.
