Abstract: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]The Visual Sample Plan (VSP) provides graphical and map-based tools for defining an optimal, technically defensible sampling scheme for site characterization and decision-making. It may be applied to any two-dimensional sampling problem and provides a platform for developing and communicating technically defensible sampling plans and decisions. The latest version of VSP software and a user's manual may be downloaded free.
