Abstract: When Bill Thomas left the corporate world to start his own company manufacturing khaki pants patterned after the original World War II U.S. Army issue pants, he found it difficult to find suppliers for the materials required to make the product authentic. While using contracted manufacturers to make his product under strict quality specifications, Thomas concentrated on developing marketing tactics that achieved a growth of 260% in five years. The companys organizational culture encourages creativity, innovation and attention to quality while using sophisticated strategic planning and measurements to improve its critical process. A formula of attention to customer satisfaction, quality and community has proven successful, and by "not changing a thing," Thomas sees a bright future for Bills Khakis.
