Software Quality Principles: An Editorial Symposium

What is the basis for functioning within any profession? A professional draws upon certain fundamental insights in carrying out the duties of his or her specialty. These basic understandings can be brought to bear in a variety of situations. “Software quality” is still a young discipline, and there is considerable diversity of opinion about how best to express its basic principles.
