Column Guidelines
Each issue of The Journal for Quality and Participation currently features the columns described below, which are open to submissions:
In My View
Personal perspectives to stimulate thinking, change — and even controversy.
Word limit: 2,000.
Voices From the Field
Conclusions and recommendations from the real world.
Word limit: 1,500.
Profundity
“The quality or state of being profound; thoughtful, philosophical or deep matters.”
Word limit: 800.
Occasionally, an author offers his/her own column for a year of publication. If you would like us to consider a new column, please submit a complete set of four installments of the column. In lieu of that, please contact the editor [need email link here] to make special arrangements. Columns of this nature generally should be 1,200 or fewer words.
News for a Change features one column in each issue that is open for author participation.
The Help Desk
This should provide one useful “how-to” suggestion, related to the application of quality and participation tools. Your submission must have at least one, but no more than two, illustrations that tie to an example in the article.
Word limit: 1,000.
