ISO 9000 Registrations Hold Steady as Transition Ends

As of January 20, 44.1% of US registrations to ISO 9001/2/3 were reported to be for ISO 9001:2000 while the North American total showed a 45.6% rate. US registrations to ISO 9001:2000 jumped 51.7% in the latest reporting period, to 18,266, while total North American registrations hit 24,667, an increase of 47.1%. Total ISO 9000 registrations in the US and North America held fairly steady, with the only sizable decrease reported for Canada. Registration reports are provided on ISO 9000, QS-9000, TS 16949, ISO 14001 and other sector-specific QMS registration schemes for each country in North America and the continent as a whole.
