Orion Buys Canadian Registrar, ABS Has QS-9000 Suspension
There was increasing activity in the second quarter of 2003 involving NAP-accredited registrars. Information is provided on: the purchase of IQSR by Orion Registrar on June 20 and of LLD by NorthStar Registrar on April 9; the suspension of ABS-QE’s QS-9000 qualifications on June 25; and the voluntary withdrawals of NAP accreditation for AS 9000/9100 by Excalibur Registrations on June 28 and for ISO 14001 by UK-based Vehicle Certification Agency on May 22, 2003.
