ISO Survey: Almost 30% Were 9K2K; ISO 14001 Near 50K
The 12th Cycle of The ISO Survey showed that 29.8% of all ISO 9001/2/3 certificates worldwide were for registration to ISO 9001:2000 at the end of 2002. At the same time, ISO 14001 registration was growing at a steady pace, although slower than in 2001. Registration growth continued in 2002 despite economic and other factors, with an increase of 51,131 in ISO 9001/2/3 and of 12,697 in ISO 14001 certificates in 2002. These figures may be taken as an affirmation of the need for and value of management system registration in global trade. This report provides ISO 9001/2/3 and ISO 14001 data derived from the ISO Survey and analysis of what the data means.
