ISO 9000 Plants Top NA IQS as French Deadline Reported
The J.D. Power and Associates 2003 IQS showed that the initial quality
gap between "Domestic", European, Japanese and Korean brands
continues to narrow. Domestic brands are now equal with the Europeans
and only 9 PP100 behind the Japanese. This report examines the potential
impact of QMS implementation and registration on Domestic 2003 IQS numbers.
Information is also provided on the issuance of a letter by PSA Peugeot
Citröen that establishes 2004 deadlines for ISO/TS 16949:2002 registration
that match those reported by Renault and DaimlerChrysler. Tables are included
that provide snapshots of OEM requirements for Tier 1 and other suppliers.
