Case Study: Transition Improves Customer Satisfaction and Bottom Line

Visteon Climate Control Systems is an automotive supplier that transitioned from QS-9000/ISO 9001:1994 to ISO/TS 16949:2002 in 6 months. In this examination of VCCS’s transition experience, keep in mind the following question: Is our QMS and our organization as effective, mature and beyond baseline today as VCCS was when it began its transition? Based on its responses to the PSI ISO 9001:2000 Survey and additional information from VCCS, this case study explores 10 steps that the management rep recommends any organization should take that is starting the process of updating an existing QMS to transition to ISO 9001:2000 and/or TS 16949:2002.
