The ISO 9000:2000 PSI IDEAS Q&A—QMS Integrity

The IDEAS Q&A is aimed at providing a variety of perspectives on requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and the challenges they present to users. Question 11 is: Subclause 5.4.2 requires Top Management to "ensure that…b) the integrity of the [QMS] is maintained when changes to the [QMS] are planned and implemented." How does an organization protect the integrity of its QMS in planning and implementing changes to the QMS to transition to ISO 9001:2000? What evidence will auditors seek/expect to see that changes are managed?
