Renault Sets TS Deadline, Big 3 Issue Joint Letter on ISO 14001

Renault has directed its suppliers to transition to TS 16949:2002 by July 1 or December 15, 2004. On the EMS front, a joint letter from the Big Three directed suppliers that had not yet submitted an ISO 14001 registration certificate to notify their OEM customers by March 21 of their progress. The Big Three letter emphasizes that failure to meet the established deadlines for ISO 14001 self-declared conformity and/or registration may affect sourcing decisions. Copies of the two letters are reprinted.
