Aerospace Focuses on Reduced Auditing, Continual Improvement
Global aerospace quality has moved beyond the drafting of
AS/EN/JIS Q 9100 to additional standardization activity and
performance improvement in the sector. Dale Gordon reports
that AS/EN/JIS Q 9100 is being used globally to reduce the
numbers of QMS audits and that the AAQG and IAQG have developed
a number of related QMS standards for subgroups in the aerospace
sector. The focus is now on proper implementation and the
processes that will allow for better process capability and
improved product results. IAQG and AAQG standards available
and in development are listed.
