Business Management System Approach = Business Success
David Watkins writes that, while it is important to understand
the individual differences between ISO 9001/2:1994 and ISO
9001:2000 and between QS-9000 and ISO/TS 16949:2002, adopting
an overall BMS approach will ensure the revisions to the individual
QMS elements will satisfy that approach and bring productive
change and improvement to the QMS and BOS. Watkins discusses
how to establish and maintain the BOS, which is the data-driven
management process at the core of the BMS and involves the
implementation and operation of the PDCA cycle as a key management
process.
