DISs of ISO 14001/4 Begin to Circulate for Ballot

As the first revision of ISO 14001 nears completion, new wording added in the DIS was the subject of greatest concern in recommendations from the Chair of US SubTAG 1. At the same time, the Chair is recommending approval with editorial comments on ISO/DIS 14004. Both DISs began to circulate to the P-members of ISO/TC 207 on August 28, 2003, for a 5-month period of balloting and comment. Details regarding both DISs and the reasons for US concern about Subclause 4.5.3 are provided.
