ISO EMS/QMS Auditing Standard Approved

Voting on ISO/FDIS 19011 concluded internationally on August 13, 2002, with unanimous approval and publication due by November 2002. However, because of US concerns with the lack of guidance on certain issues, the ANSI Z1 Committee has delayed voting to approve ISO 19011 as an American National Standard but approved a proposal to draft a US supplement to ISO 19011. A report on the progress achieved so far on 19011S is included.
