Measurable Objectives + QMS Awareness = Rising Effectiveness
John R. Broomfield writes that registration is not going
to be enough if the management system does not ensure an organizations
ability to consistently meet customer needs and expectations
and then produce a rising level of process effectiveness and
operational efficiency. Broomfield explores Actions 11 (ensure
your quality objectives are measurable, assign responsibility
for each process objective and develop others as required)
and 12 (make employees aware of the system and its requirements)
in his 16-step plan for making an effective transition to
ISO 9001:2000.
