This is the second question in the PSI IDEAS program that provides a variety of perspectives on requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and the challenges they present to users. This month’s questions include: What different ways or measures can an organization use to determine training effectiveness? What does ISO 9001:2000 mean in Subclause 6.2.2, Competence, Awareness and Training, when it requires that training or "other actions" be undertaken and that the organization "evaluate the effectiveness of the actions taken"? What other actions can be taken besides training?
