EMS Standards Not Yet to CD2 Stage, More Meetings Planned

TC 207 met in June 2002, at which WGs 1 and 2 of SC 1 addressed comments on CD1s for the revision of ISO 14001 and ISO 14004. The good news is that there was some progress in the revisions to ISO 14001/4; the bad news is that there was not enough progress to issue CD2s, with WG 1 and 2 meetings planned for September 2002 to continue work. Connie Glover Ritzert provides a report on the SC 1 meeting and the progress achieved by WG 1 on the revisions to ISO 14001, and Philip J. Stapleton provides a report on the progress achieved by WG 2 on ISO 14004.
