TS 16949 Database Rolled Out as Registrations Reach 1,600

With ISO/TS 16949:2002 published on March 1 and TS 16949 registrations worldwide reaching 1,600, the IAOB began rolling out an ISO/TS 16949 registrations database in February 2002. Harold Hodder of the IAOB notes the new database will collect registration certificate and other data and will serve as the official registry that OEMs use to check registration claims by suppliers. Reports of QS-9000 registrations by country and US state are included, along with information on the availability of TS 16949:2002 and related documents from AIAG.
