Results From the First QMS Transition by an Automotive OEM

In January 2001, the Chrysler Group attained a significant distinction: becoming the first automotive OEM to register to ISO 9001:2000 in the United States. Kathy Harvey of the Corporate Quality Office provides an in-depth look at its ISO 9001:2000 implementation and registration process and the transition from ISO 9002, the changes and benefits with ISO 9001:2000 and the QMS’s evolution in more than 14 months.
