Look at the Principles and Your Need for Documentation
Gordon Staples writes that he has a number of concerns about
the implementation of ISO 9001:2000, two of which involve
the eight Quality Management Principles and their role (or
lack thereof) in ISO 9001:2000 and the documented procedures
required by ISO 9001:2000. Staples points out that conforming
to the eight principles is not mandatory with ISO 9001:2000,
and he examines the eight principles and how well each is
applied in ISO 9001:2000. He also discusses the documented
procedures required by ISO 9001:2000 and how the use of documentation
should be viewed to make a QMS effective.
