Auditing the Process Approach: Planning the Audit
In the second part of a series on issues related to the auditing
of a QMS and its processes against the new requirements of
ISO 9001:2000, Bart Solomon and John Stratton write that,
to effectively audit a process-based management system, a
broader view and understanding of the entire system is required.
This broader view should start with the planning of the audit
or audit program. Solomon and Stratton examine the audit planning
process from a comprehensive systems point of view for both
registration audit and internal audit program purposes.
