A Report on Key Developments at ISO 9000 TC Meeting

In a report on the recent ISO/TC 176 plenary meeting, Charles Cianfrani and Jack West address two questions that may sum up the motivations and activities of TC 176 in Acapulco: What is the future of quality management across the global marketplace, and what do users of QMSs need to improve their performance and remain competitive in that marketplace? Cianfrani and West write that, while there were no major developments that will impact immediately on your ability to use ISO 9001:2000 or other ISO 9000 standards, 8 issues and developments were the subject of activity in Acapulco that may have future impacts.
