The Three Horsemen of the Apocalypse (or Just Business
as Usual?)
There are indications that the world of ISO 9001/2 registration
activity did not continue at its phenomenal rate in 2000at
least not in the United Statesand may not be much better
in 2001. While no one is mentioning a "registration apocalypse",
this article focuses on whether 2001 and the publication of
ISO 9001:2000 will be the start of a decline in the popularity
of QMS registration. The fact is that an apocalypse is not
going to occur, because there are three horsemenbut

and decline in new registrations: the transition, the sector
standard revisions and the economics of financial slow-down.
