Healthcare IWA Expected Soon; HCFA Quality "Ratings" Not Planned

Discussions in this article focus on the status of IWA 1 (the ISO TMB has renamed the ITA class of ISO documents as Industry Workshop Agreement–IWA) and reports that indicate senior management at HCFA is discussing ideas for measurement and disclosure of information about facilities that provide care to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. However, reports indicate that the HCFA does not plan to start ratings programs.
