TL 9000 Alignment With ISO 9001:2000 Approved

Release 3.0 of the TL 9000 handbooks received overwhelming approval, making the telecommunications sector the first to complete the alignment of its sector-specific QMS requirements with ISO 9001:2000. In fact, many expect TL 9000 registration to become a contractual requirement for many telecommunications suppliers in the near future. Examined here are the TL 9000 transition periods, ISO 9001/2:1994 registrations in the telecommunications sector, adders removed/added, the impact of changes to the measurements handbook, and how the "migration" to Release 3.0 is to be accomplished.
