First CDs for Comment of ISO 14001/4 Revisions Achieved

Connie Glover Ritzert and Philip J. Stapleton write that WGs 1 and 2 of ISO/TC 207, SC 1, met in Billund, Denmark, November 26-30, 2001. WG 1 achieved its goal of producing a CD for Comment for ISO 14001 and WG 2 achieved a CD for Comment for ISO 14004. Ritzert provides a report describing the progress in WG 1 and Stapleton provides a report on the progress in WG 2 during the Denmark meetings. The revisions process for these two EMS standards is progressing and, while no major changes should be necessary to your organization’s EMS, some changes to ISO 14001 are likely to occur.
