RAB Approves 28 of 45 Transition Courses So Far
Auditor training is increasingly available to ensure that
QMS auditors understand the differences between ISO 9001:2000
and ISO 9001/2/3:1994 and how to audit a QMS based on the
process approach, but a number of courses have not yet received
approval from the RAB, and RAB reports that the number of
certified QMS auditors submitting proof that they took a transition
course remains small compared with the number certified. Shanya
Salamaca, Manager of Course Accreditation at RAB, discusses
the RAB the course approval process, auditor training objectives,
why auditors need to take a transition course and related
issues. RABs "Learning Objectives for Year 2000
ISO 9000 Series Transition Training" are reprinted.
