Ford Continues Expansion of Its Environmental Management
System Commitment
When Ford Motor Company achieved its initial goal in 1998
of implementing and registering the EMS of its worldwide manufacturing
operations to ISO 14001, it became the first automotive OEM
to achieve this corporate environmental goal. Bob Devlin of
Fords Environmental Quality Office provides a look at
Fords internal EMS program, which is expanding to achieve
ISO 14001 registration of its product development operations
by 2001, its moves to convert environmental objectives into
supplier requirements and its efforts to maximize EMS results
through supplier EMS requirements and support for their efforts.
