Marketplace: ISO 14001 Emerges in Electronics/Electrical Industry

In July, Stewart Anderson provided a mid-year update of North American registrations, which revealed that the electronics and electrical manufacturing sector logged the highest single number of ISO 9001/2/3 registration certificates for any industry category and is the leading sector for total certificates issued. Anderson takes a more detailed look at the US electronics/electrical manufacturing sector and provides additional analysis of the sector’s registration trends to illuminate the impact that growing use of management system standards is having in the sector. He also discusses ISO 14001 registrations in the sector, which accounts for almost 20.5% of all US ISO 14001 registrations, and how this mirrors trends already seen in the Far East countries.
