Marketplace: North American QMS/EMS Registrations Continue to Grow

Stewart Anderson of World Preferred.com, Inc., writes that an analysis of ISO 9001/2/3 and ISO 14001 registrations through June 30, 2000, demonstrate that organizations in North America have clearly decided not to wait for ISO 9001:2000 to be published and have gone ahead with registration to ISO 9001/2/3–with large ISO 9002 numbers–coupled with dynamic ISO 14001 increases. Anderson provides details about Canadian, Mexican and US registration numbers for June 2000 vs. June 1999 for each ISO 9000 specification standard, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001-based sector-specific requirements, as well as breakouts for the top 15 industry categories, the top 10 states/provinces and the 11 leading registrars.
