ISO 14001 Efforts Refocus; ISO 14004 Draft Text Emerges

WGs 1 and 2 of TC 207, SC 1, met in Brazil November 6-11, 2000, to advance the ISO 14001 and ISO 14004 revisions. Joel Charm and Connie Glover Ritzert report on each WG meeting, including key decisions. Their reports indicate that while WG 1 has turned to a task group to refocus its efforts after attempts to advance the ISO 14001 revision process became somewhat stalled, WG 2 has seen several of its task groups agree on draft text for priority issues where members want to see guidance or increased guidance added to ISO 14004.
